Faced with the constant threat of monster attacks, the residents of Harbourtown, New Wirral choose to fight fire with fire. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities! The reason why people believe DLC's possible is, because there's not just one, but multiple of those oddities coming together - like, I've never seen this many oddities in a modern Nintendo game.Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. I'm not saying this is clear-cut evidence that speaks for DLC (because, let's be honest, 100% real evidence isn't possible unless it's from an official source), but saying that the evidence is "weak" goes a bit too far. I'm pretty sure they've planned to use Toad and Toadette as hosts from the beginning as a carryover from Super, so the slots would've been unoccupied anyways.Īnd as for the Stickers: it's not really the fact that there's an unused one, but rather because the unused Sticker depicts a character/NPC featured in the game while the used one depicts a character who's not in the game. There isn't really any reason to put Birdo at the end of the character files, though, and they could've easily put her in slot 8 ( especially since she's a character who isn't in Super, so she didn't have a character ID to begin with). ![]()
